Ricoh Ireland Celebrates 4th Consecutive Recertification with the Prestigious Business Working Responsibly Mark
Ricoh Ireland, Dublin, 23 October 2024 – Ricoh Ireland is proud to announce its recertification with the prestigious Business Working Responsibly Mark for the fourth consecutive time. Established in 2010 by Business in the Community Ireland, the Business Working Responsibly Mark (‘the Mark’) is Ireland’s leading standard for Economic, Environmental, Social and Governance (EESG) excellence.
Independently verified by the National Standards Authority of Ireland, the Mark is the standard for sustainability in business. It goes beyond legal compliance by fostering a culture of responsible business through continuous improvement, ongoing accountability, and leadership in responsible business practices. Organisations achieving the Mark are eligible to join the Responsible Business Association, a movement to champion and progress the Association‘s collective sustainability impact.
Ricoh Ireland Managing Director, Gary Hopwood, attended the CEO Forum last week, where Ricoh Ireland was officially recertified. Reflecting on the achievement, Hopwood commented, “It’s great to work alongside like-minded people, and the CEO Forum’s theme of moving from ambition to action truly resonates with us. Sustainability and EESG is becoming increasingly more important to our employees and customers, and by adopting these EESG initiatives, it’s providing the right environment to let our people succeed”.
Tomás Sercovich, CEO of Business in the Community Ireland, said: “We applaud Ricoh for being recertified with the Business Working Responsibly Mark for the 4th time. It really shows they are leaders and champions of sustainability as they use the Mark framework for driving all aspects of sustainability into every area of their business. Attaining recertification demonstrates to all their stakeholders their commitment to responsible business practices. We are delighted to have Ricoh as an active partner with us in this collective movement for change.”
Ricoh Ireland has held this highly regarded certification since 2014, showcasing its dedication to long-term sustainable goals. Over the past decade, the company has embedded sustainability into its core operations, working to minimise environmental impact while promoting social and economic responsibility. This latest recertification reflects Ricoh Ireland’s drive to continue evolving, innovating and leading within the sustainability space.
