Nationwide Print enhances client experience with Ricoh’s MarcomCentral and a Ricoh Pro™ C7100 press

Ricoh Europe, London, 5 June 2016 – UK print service provider Nationwide Print is to enhance its customer service and streamline its print production by implementing MarcomCentral and through its installation of a Ricoh Pro™ C7110 digital colour sheetfed press.

Established in the mid 1930s, the St Austell general commercial printer produces everything from flyers to brochures. Clients include Armani, the Eden Project, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen and Rick Stein restaurants.

MarcomCentral provides print service providers with a complete online Marketing Asset Management solution, featuring web to print, ecommerce and VDP capabilities for delivering cross media campaigns.

Managing Director Julian Hocking says: “Our first MarcomCentral project will be with St Austell Brewery. We plan to help them manage their multiple brands in a more effective way. With improved asset management, we will be able to help them create a highly responsive process that minimises human touchpoints and reduces errors. This helps us all save a lot of time.”

He continues: “It adds value to what we do and enables us to offer a total integrated digital solution.”

The operation has also just installed a Ricoh Pro C7110 press. It was chosen to add production flexibility for cost effective short runs. Hocking continues: “Demand is increasing for short runs and the Ricoh Pro C7110 will help us be more competitive. The extended banner feed enables us to produce landscape A4 which was previously being outsourced. This was a very important part of the decision-making process. We also needed more capacity. He added: “It offers better tints and solids.”

On the impact of the Pro C7110 printer he adds: “We already have a Pro C751 colour cutsheet device so know Ricoh very well. Having two presses gives us greater capacity and flexibility.”  Graham Moore, Director, Business Development, Ricoh Europe, says: “With MarcomCentral, Nationwide has the ability to manage its clients’ assets much more efficiently. We are excited to see the results of the first collaboration with St Austell Brewery and the others that will follow.”

The highly creative Pro C7100 series delivers print speeds up to 90ppm and supports media up to 360gsm.  It achieves optimum image quality up to 1200 x 4800 dpi with Ricoh’s VCSEL technology.

It assures a premium finish, and supports an extensive range of media, including textured, and enables many different applications such as light packaging, demo packaging, direct mail, books, brochures and business cards.
