myPrint security update

As part of our commitment to ensuring the integrity and security of our products and services, a vulnerability has been identified in relation to Ricoh myPrint.  

The risk identified means that accessing the myPrint application via the iOS, Android or desktop app, user PINs could potentially be uncovered. This could allow someone with malicious intent to access a myPrint enabled MFP.

Our development team has created a patch to address this vulnerability. The patch has been shared with myPrint customers as a priority. Once the patched is installed, the iOS, Android and desktop app will no longer function. Printing will remain possible via e-mail, computer and other methods. 

The patch is temporary and the development team continues to urgently work on an updated version of myPrint that has an integrated structural solution. Once this new version is ready, the myPrint app will be available for use again and will be downloadable from App Stores for both Android and iOS operating systems.

Ricoh is proactively contacting all Ricoh myPrint users to provide the patch.
