Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World

For the seventh consecutive year, we were proud to be named as one of the “Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World”. Our inclusion on the list was unveiled during the annual World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland. Our inclusion on the list is testament to our aggressive carbon reduction strategy, which has seen us reduce our carbon footprint by 45,000 tonnes since 2007.

Etisphere's 2011 World's Most Ethical Companies

For the third year in a row, Ricoh were recognised as an organisation that goes beyond legal minimums, introducing innovative ideas that benefit the wider community. We are passionate about ensuring our business can responsibly respond to changes in today’s world, and this award is testament to the success of this approach.

FTSE4Good Index

Our corporate responsibility standards have been recognised for the eigth consecutive year by the FTSE4Good Index. The index objectively measures the performance of organisations against strict criteria including; environmental management and human & labour rights. Our environmental management approach, for example, was rated as ‘best practice’ by the index.

Corporate Awards

2011 Ricoh named to Ethisphere's 2011 "World's most ethical companies" for third year in a row. The award recognises exceptional ethical leadership actively uphelds witihn various industries.

2010 Ricoh Europe achieved a 5 star “Recognised for Excellence” award from EFQM. We remain the largest, most complex organisation to have achieved this level of recognition.

Ricoh was selected as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for the second straight year by the Ethisphere Institute. This recognised that we’ve gone beyond legal minimums, introduced innovative ideas to benefit the public and forced our competitors to follow suit.

Ricoh Germany was awarded the prestigious Ludwig-Erhard-Preis for business excellence. The accomplishment acknowledges the excellent results achieved by doing business the Ricoh way – an approach that combines economic, social and environmental thinking. 
 
2009 Ricoh Europe received the “Ruban d’Honneur” in the 2009 European Business Awards for “Corporate Sustainability”, recognising the impact of our activities within the workplace, the market, the environment and the community.

2009  Ricoh UK Products Limited won the British Quality Foundation UK Excellence Award.

2009  Ricoh UK Products Limited won the British Quality Foundation Gold Medal.  Awarded annually, it is the highest accolade given by the Board of Directors of the British Quality Foundation to the organisation which has demonstrated outstanding and sustained commitment to excellence.

2005 Ranked No.1 in the Computers, Peripherals and Office Electronics category for corporate social responsibility for 2004/2005 by Oekom Research AG of Germany

2002 Ranked 1st in the world for corporate responsibility rating by Oekom Research AG of Germany

2002 Grand Prize in the 10th Corporate Contribution to the Society Survey held by the Asahi Shimbun Cultural Foundation

2011 For the seventh consecutive year, Ricoh was selected as one of the "Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World" by Corporate Knights.

2009 Ricoh Europe received “Ruban d’Honneur” in the European Business Awards for “Environmental Awareness”, recognising the effectiveness of the policies we adopted in reducing our total environmental impact and the extent to which these have been embedded into our culture.

2003 Ricoh Group received Gold Medal from World Environment Center (WEC), the first Asian company to be so honoured

2002 Ricoh Corporation received the 2000 Energy Star Award in three categories

2002 Eco Mark designation obtained for 28 Ricoh copiers

2001 Received "Climate Is Business" Award from the European Business Council and US Business Council for the Company's contributions to global warming prevention
